TSA Slogans

Land Of The Free: RT Reporters Arrested In Georgia

Young Boy Strip Searched By TSA

This is a police state, how long will you sit down and let it continue to degenerate?

Here is the description from the video.

Lets get the facts straight first. Before the video started the boy went through a metal detector and didn't set it off but was selected for a pat down. The boy was shy so the TSA couldn't complete the full pat on the young boy. The father tried several times to just hold the boys arms out for the TSA agent but i guess it didn't end up being enough for the guy. I was about 30 ft away so i couldn't hear their conversation if there was any. The enraged father pulled his son shirt off and gave it to the TSA agent to search, thats when this video begins.

******* THIS VIDEO OCCURRED AT SALT LAKE CITY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ON NOVEMBER 19TH AT AROUND THE TIME OF 12:00 PM **********

Fantastic Article About Edgar Steele In The Examiner

Click here to read the full article with links.

In a murder-for-hire, targeted Individual couple case involving the FBI, yesterday, the Court granted Cyndi Steele's Motion to Vacate the No Contact Order in part, allowing her to see her husband, a rights defender exposing human trafficking, now in solitary confinement for state accused attempted murder of his wife with a WMD, a pipe-bomb. Some people, on both the left and right, view the case to be a Cointelpro operation to neutralize Steele, as his attorney recently alluded outside the courthouse, winning a round of applause.

Although stringent visitation conditions exist, Mrs. Steele is grateful for contact with her husband, Edgar Steele, about family business and for the isolation known to all Targeted Individuals, to be eased.

Mr. Steele, a First Amendment lawyer, is presently alone in a cell, without human contact except when allowed: 1) mail, restricted from regular mail privileges to post cards, most rejected and returned to sender; 2) visits from five people designated by Edgar, in a booth separating him, with communications with the visitor and audio/video device monitoring and recording; 3) telephone contact with a broader range of persons, only in 14 minute segments by collect calls, very expensive (part of the private contractor lucrative US prison industry); and 4) visits from his lawyer.

Repeatedly, Mrs. Steele has stated that she does not believe her husband was involved in a plot to kill her. (See press conference video aired on KREM below, Murder -for-hire suspects wife speaks publicly for first time today.) Mr. Steele has been exposing human trafficking, the illegal trade in human beings, mainly women and children for commercial sexual exploitation or forced labor: modern-day slavery. It is the fastest growing criminal industry in the world; tied with the illegal arms industry as second largest, after the drug-trade. (Wikipedia)

A U.S. Department of Justice July, 2008 study indicates that over 30 percent of all trafficking cases that year were children coerced into the sex industry. (http://content.news14.com/human_trafficking.pdf) United States State Department data estimates that 600,000 to 820,000 men, women, and children are trafficked across international borders annually, mainly for sexual exploitation; approximately 80% are women and girls; and up to 50 percent are minors.

Edgar Steele was on the verge of exposing the link used by Sovic money interests that steal thousands from older Americans drawn into the Russian Bride scam, Mr. Steele's attorney, Mr. Wesley Hoyt told the writer, explaining that the Slovic block of mafia have perfected the art of slave trade to a new high-tech level.

"As soon as Ed, author of one book, Defensive Racism, said the word, there is a book in this bride scam business. He went from merely on the watch list, to being set up with a pipe bomb placed under his wife's car by the handyman and then blamed, as if he was the mastermind in a plot to kill his wife and mother-in-law," stated Hoyt.

According to James Buchanan on David Duke's website, Steele had "planned to become more politically active – even running for political office."

Isolation and death for exposing high-level corruption

Mr. Hoyt told the Examiner, "The problem is that there is no organization to help [Targeted Individuals] because people are afraid and silenced by these murderers, like Aaron Russeau, the movie producer of Freedom to Fascism who was killed by induced cancer.

"I read Heike Sura Painter's letter, seeing how isolated she is and wishing I could help. Isolation is just exactly what the conspiracy wants," stated Hoyt. (See: Dupre, D.,Let's kill all the good guys - National Human Rights | Examiner.com Aug 29, 2010)

Painter is the Targeted Individual who wrote to President Obama requesting that he halt the widespread torture an assassination attacks on innocent listed people, offering to help him, and vowing to copy the letter to other nation's leaders due to the extremist nature of the crime.

The two Idaho Targeted Individuals have been unable to speak to each other since June with one exception, a supervised visit in th presence of Mr. Steele's attorney.

Hoyt told the human rights national news Examiner yesterday, "The point is that part of the KGB Playbook that the Government is following requires that the Targeted Individual be isolated, so that people cannot get their cards and letters through to bring him hope."

Hoyt suggests that people who want to show support for Ed write to him c/o a designated recipient who can open the letters and "so that Cyndi can tell Ed about the volume of support and the outpouring of empathy from the outside world.

"Even though he cannot receive the letters himself, he will know that the world has not forgotten him. When I have spoken to him I have told him that his friends are still his friends and they still love him."

Most women do not want to speak with the alleged perpetrator of crime against them. In the September 20, 2010 Press Conference, however, it is clear Mrs. Steele believes her husband is innocent and that he has been set-up.

Grateful to be alive

Outside the federal courthouse in Coeur d'Alene, in the press conference on Cyndi Steele and the pipe bomb discovered under her car June 15, 2010 at Fastlane Quick Lube, and in a prepared statement for her first public appearance since the bomb was found attached to the undercarriage of her car, she said she is grateful to be alive - despite the fact that Larry Fairfax, handyman turned pipe-bomber, tried to murder her and her mother.

Mrs. Steele said at the press conference, aired in full by KREM.com (video below), that the FBI told her there are accomplices of Mr. Fairfax who have not been arrested or charged with crimes and she is afraid the FBI is not doing its job, failing to apprehend these crimes.

All she wants is what all Targeted Individuals want: truth and encouraged unbiased journalism to vigorously investigate and report truth. Mrs. Steele asked if the media believes in presumption of innocence instead of convicting people like her husband, Edgar Steele in the Press before PROVEN guilty.

Ask the hard questions of both sides and do not demonize the accused until found guilty in a court of law or admitted guilt, she urged the press. Mrs. Steele said that Larry Fairfax is the one guilty and admitted his guilt in his Plea Bargain Agreement according to Steele, pointing to Fairfax's guilt of attempted murder by his own admission and thus, he is the Idaho Pipe Bomber. She emphasized that Fairfax is a liar and thief and that her husband has never admitted guilt.

Steele said she is standing by her husband since she knows he is innocent and gives several reasons why provided by Hoyt:

a. Edgar Steele has proclaimed his innocence from the very beginning.
b. The government has NOT presented any proof of Steele's guilt and evidence they did present, such as the tapes, is flawed and untrustworthy.
c. Evidence shows Fairfax is a thief, a liar and an attempted murderer.
d. Fairfax was in deep financial trouble in May, having just declared bankruptcy earlier this year. He had told Mrs. Steele that he was losing equipment needed in his business and was about to lose his house;
e. Mr. Fairfax told Mrs. Steele and her husband how desperately he needed money, one reason they continued to give him work;
f. On Nov. 21, 2009 Edgar Steele almost died from an aortic aneurysm, only by one of God’s miracles that he lived. Over the next six months he had three other surgeries, the last of which was a nose aneurysm that threatened his life, again requiring another emergency surgery in May 2010.
g. The pipes froze in her family home this past winter and Mr. Fairfax came into their lives as “Larry the Plumber” to fix the pipes. In a weakened state, Mr. Steele became increasingly more reliant upon Mr. Fairfax to help fix other things at the Steele property. Mr. Fairfax became aware that the Steeles were using their out buildings as a place for safe keeping of their silver coins.
h. Because of Edgar Steele's weakened condition, Mr. Fairfax was able to steal $45,000 worth of silver coins from the Steeles. [Targeted Individuals have reported their perpetrator manipulates the situation so that the target become dependent on them, as a tortured victim is of his torturer.]
i. As Mr. Fairfax cashed in those silver coins, he became scared that Mr. Steele would catch him.
j. Mr. Fairfax had a motive to scheme the murder-for-hire plot. By alerting the FBI of the plot, he could cover up his crime, making it appear he was helping the FBI solve a much more serious crime.
k. Mr. Fairfax had been a DEA informant and had contacts in the government.
l. The FBI saw opportunity to concoct a story to implicate Edgar because he has been so outspoken and effective in representing the politically incorrect.
m. At Mr. Fairfax’s Detention Hearing on June 20, 2010, it was said that Magistrate Candy Dale made a finding that he wasn’t “…completely forthcoming in his dealings with law enforcement and has subjected people to danger and can’t be trusted to be released.”
n. Mrs. Steele says that it is an outrage that the authorities continue to believe anything Mr. Fairfax has to say, especially since the most critical information he was covering up was placing a pipe-bomb on her car in his attempt to murder her and her mother.
o. Mr. Fairfax continues to lie by claiming he “…made the bomb in a way that it wouldn’t detonate.” It was lethal, however, as stated by C. Todd Smith, a BATF&E agent, and the Coeur d’Alene Police Bomb Squad blew it up.

Mrs. Steele said:

“I don’t get how the authorities can continue to claim Mr. Fairfax was out to save my life. When is placing a lethal bomb on someone’s car, for any reason, being out to save a life? No, this is attempted murder and the government has failed to charge him with attempted murder.

“I still shake in fear when I think about the devastation that could have been caused if that bomb exploded. Not only to me and my mom, but to other family members, including my 2 year old granddaughter, our friends, and every person who was near my car as I drove through Oregon, Washington and Idaho in June.

“I still fear for our lives because Mr. Fairfax, as stated in his Plea Agreement, had an accomplice who went from Idaho to Oregon with him to check on the bomb under my car on May 31st; and the government still has not arrested or charged that person.

“Why was this other person, not Larry, the one who looked under my car for the bomb? Mr. Fairfax is the one who attached the bomb and would have known where to look.

"Why is the government relying on unreliable hearsay from this other person when it is coming through Larry Fairfax who has proven himself to be a liar?”

Mrs. Steele pointed out that Mr. Fairfax states in his Plea Agreement that he and this other person together, as co-conspirators, made a decision to assume that the bomb had fallen off of her car and said, "You would think they wouldn’t have just assumed, but rather they would have made certain that the bomb was off my car if they wanted to then save lives?”

“Did you get that? They decided that this lethal weapon of mass destruction was lying on the ground somewhere between Sagle, Idaho and Portland, Oregon, and the FBI did nothing about that.”

Mrs. Steele encouraged the media and investigative reporters to answer the question: Who is this person that went with Mr. Fairfax on May 31st to check on the bomb?

“Why hasn’t he been arrested and charged? Why is he still at large and allowed to be a danger to people?”

Due to an indication that the government knows identity of this person, Mrs. Steele wants media to ask the government the following two questions:

Why hasn’t government charged this other person as a co-conspirator since he/she helped Mr. Fairfax advance the criminal enterprise?
Why hasn’t government arrested this person as a co-conspirator since he knows how to handle bombs, willingly participated in a scheme that involved attaching a bomb under a car, knew about the bomb on Mrs. Steele’s car in May and is a danger to the public?

Mrs. Steele pointed out that none of these issues have been addressed by the FBI and, in fact, the FBI has completely ignored the public safety aspect of this case.

“Obviously, this co-conspirator was a part of the plot to murder me, which was also designed to do harm to the public --- what am I missing?”

Mrs. Steele pointed out that the bomb manufactured by Mr. Fairfax and placed under her vehicle could have blown up anyone, even the reporters at the Press Conference and their families.

“As if this isn’t bad enough, there is more. The FBI also identified two other accomplices to Mr. Fairfax who they said wanted to run me and my mother off the road.”

“When the FBI first approached me on June 11, 2010 as we were at my mother’s house near Portland, they, the two FBI agents, said nothing about a bomb under my car.”

The two FBI agents said some people wanted to kill Mrs. Steele and her mother in a tactic consistently reported by Targeted Individuals, by running them “off the road.”

“Why aren’t those two co-conspirators being prosecuted by the government?”

“Doesn’t anyone of you want to ask the government why those two people are not in jail right now under charges of attempted murder? And why are they still at large where they present a clear danger to our community?“

Call for media and reporters to look for real culprits

Mrs Steele challenged reporters to ask the U.S. Prosecutor and FBI: "What does it take to get you to do your job?”

Addressing charges against her husband, Mrs. Steele said, “I told you that I would explain why I believe my did not participate in any murder-for-hire plots… that is because I know Edgar Steele better than anyone. I have been married to Ed over 25 years and we have had a long, loving, bonded and mutually inter-dependent relationship.

“I know what he is capable of-- I also know what he is not capable of and he is not capable of planning to murder anyone. He would lay down his own life before allowing anyone to harm me and/or his mother-in-law.
“In fact, the idea that Ed would have a bomb attached to my car is totally ridiculous and preposterous because he loves his family deeply and would be devastated if anything happened to his children, grandchild, me or my mom.
“I do not understand how anyone could think that he would harm his grandchild?
“As an honorable man and a First Amendment Lawyer, he has spent his life solving crimes, issues, conflicts and peacefully seeking change through the legal system.
“Never has he been violent or advocated for violence.
“He has no time, no patience for, and certainly no interest in murdering anyone or committing any other crimes, for that matter.
“Now I ask you, how a person who refers to me as “His Rock” and whose favorite expression is: Equal rights for all and special rights for none would somehow have a reason to plot this murder-for-hire against me?
“It just does not add up that Ed Steele would be involved, but it does add up that Larry Fairfax, who introduced the idea of hiring a hit man out of the blue in their conversations about handyman things around the property, would do something like this and point the finger at my husband.

As reporters continued to question authenticity of Mrs. Steele's statements, she told them, "Let’s look for the real culprit":

"How about the person who is financially desperate, and who just stole $45,000 that he might want to cover up –would he have a motive to make up such a plot?

“As the Media, you should be very suspicious of the government’s accusations against my husband or anyone for that matter, when they present the real culprit as a person they want to protect with an 18-month Plea Agreement.

“As the Media, you need to ask, ‘Why would the government want to participate in a plot to blame Edgar Steele for something he did not do?’

“Then notice how the government’s story keeps changing: First they claimed that my husband’s motive was life insurance on me and my mother, but they could not find a life insurance policy -- because none existed. Then they changed their story about the motive two more times after that and it still doesn’t hold up, because Ed has no motive to kill me or his mother-in-law.

“Look, my mom's health has been pretty bad the last few years and because she can’t work full time, her house was going into foreclosure this spring. Ed, on his own, paid $3,000 to my mother’s mortgage company to avoid foreclosure this spring, so that she could have a “short sale” and still live in her own home until her house was sold and, hopefully, to give her more time to recover before having to move.

"This was Ed’s idea, not mine, because he is a man of charity, integrity and conviction. Ed has great respect for my mother, who now is so sick, she has faced multiple surgeries. My mother needs my help and I, as her only child, am a central part of her health care team.”

According to the attorney Wesley Hoyt, with a long history of defending Targeted Individuals, the press conference was to inform media that everything presented in the prepared statement by Mrs. Steele are reasons she objects to the pending Plea Agreement offered to Larry Fairfax. Hoyt submitted the following key objections in a written statement to the Examiner:

a. Manufacturing a firearm, rather than an aggravated offense. Judge Dale pointed out that Mr. Fairfax was accused of crimes of violence.
b. The present deal includes a probable 18 months of confinement, an outrageously “soft plea” bargain for a man who admits he attempted to murder her and her mother.
c. Mr. Fairfax is a proven liar who was not honest or forthcoming on June 8th about the bomb under her car. He held secret that fact for seven days, until after the bomb was discovered on June 15th during an oil change.
d. He is a thief and an admitted attempted murderer, so why is he being given a soft plea deal?
e. He is not the one who notified the authorities about the Weapon of Mass Destruction under her car. It was Josh Young of Fast Lane Quick Lube who did that.
f. He hasn’t been charged with attempted murder, possession of an explosive device in a crime of violence or theft of the $45,000 in silver coins;
g. The Government isn’t doing anything to make him pay restitution, even though he got the silver and cashed a lot of it in.
h. Mrs. Steele asks: “Is this the government’s way of paying off their Confidential Informant? By not charging him with theft so he can keep our money?”
i. And worse yet, is another pay off not charging him with attempted murder?
j. And, don’t forget: There are more Fairfax accomplices out there who haven’t been identified by the FBI or arrested and charged. If Mr. Fairfax gets off easy, these accomplices will be allowed to get off scott-free for their crimes.

Mrs. Steele stated:

“I don’t and never will feel safe until the FBI catches the entire Fairfax Gang and the public won’t be safe either. The Media should be asking the government the hard questions about capturing these bad guys. Please understand that I will continue to object to any Plea Agreement, especially a plea bargain that has no teeth, until the other three co-conspirators are brought to justice and Mr. Fairfax has been charged with the real crimes he committed: Attempted murder and Theft.

“Meanwhile, my mother and I, and the rest of my family are scared to death that someone really is going to kill us; if not with a bomb or by running us off the road, then by some other fashion. This should even scare you, because if they were willing to use a Weapon of Mass Destruction once on a couple of innocent old ladies, they are obviously ruthless killers who will do it again and the next time it could be in your neighborhood – And the FBI doesn’t seem to want to be accountable.

“My mother now is critically ill – This fictional drama about her son-in-law plotting to murder her and her daughter and the reality of Mr. Fairfax getting out in only 18 months and the other accomplices still at large are only making her health worse!

“You, as the media, need to help investigate, ask the tough questions and demand that the government does their job – so that the true criminals are convicted and all of us are truly SAFE!

“Once again, let me stress: The idea that Ed had put out a contract to kill my mother and me is ABSOLUTELY preposterous!

In a final statement, Mrs. Steele thanked Josh Young and his co-workers who discovered the bomb when she brought her car in for an oil change, and for calling the police. She thanked the Bomb Squad for risking their lives to remove the bomb from under her car.

“I also, want to apologize to all the businesses and travelers along Hwy 95, while they closed down everything around the location of the Fastlane Quick Lube because my car was there with a bomb under it. I realize that this was an inconvenience for everyone and a financial strain on their businesses.

"I’m just glad that we are all still alive."

DHS Scoured Social Media Sites During Obama Inauguration

An electronic rights advocacy group is expressing concern over what it contends was an overly broad surveillance of social networking sites conducted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in the days leading up to the 2009 inauguration of President Barack Obama.

Pennsylvania Homeland Security Director 'made a very significant mistake in judgment,' Gov. Ed Rendell says

Source: Penn Live

The resignation of Pennsylvania’s Office of Homeland Security Director James Powers is unlikely to quell the furor that has erupted in the wake of news that his office hired a private contractor that monitored the activities and online conversations of lawful citizen groups.

Gov. Ed Rendell announced Friday that Powers will step down Oct. 8, saying “Jim is a good man who made a very significant mistake in judgment."

Sen. Lisa Baker, R-Luzerne, chair of the senate committee investigating the issue, said the resignation “opens the door to some badly needed changes, but restoring credibility to the operation now looks to be a monumental task.”

For more than three weeks, Powers has been at the center of the scandal, which made national headlines.

The information collected by the private contractor was distributed three times a week to law enforcement officials around the state, as well as to private companies, including those drilling in the Marcellus Shale.

The Gas Drilling Awareness Coalition of Luzerne County, one of the groups monitored in the Homeland Security “intelligence” bulletins, has filed suit in federal court. Others have indicated they plan to do the same.

Sen. Jim Ferlo, D-Allegheny, has encouraged all groups listed in the reports to file complaints with the State Ethics Commission, the state Office of Inspector General and the U.S. Department of Justice, civil rights division.

An event Ferlo hosted in Allegheny County was included in the bulletins. Ferlo said Powers and his boss, Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency director Robert French, should be prosecuted.

After The Patriot-News reported the story, Rendell apologized publicly and said the contract with the private firm doing the monitoring would not be renewed when it expires Oct. 25.

Scott Davis, founder of PARevolution.com, is planning a rally at the Capitol Oct. 25 to celebrate the end of the contract. Davis has issued an open invitation to all groups listed in the bulletins.

The bulletins “are proof that the government is watching what we’re doing,” said Davis, adding there are ongoing issues even after Powers’ resignation and the end of the contract.

During a senate hearing last week, it was revealed the state police are poised to take over the intelligence work previously contracted to identify threats to critical infrastructure.

“What role are they taking over, and are they going to be doing the same thing?” Davis asked.

Senate testimony revealed the state police knew there were “severe problems” with the Homeland Security bulletins as early as December of last year. Internal e-mails show they were concerned — in at least one instance — about Powers coordinating local law enforcement efforts in preparation for a lawful gathering of Second Amendment activists.

Rendell’s chief of staff, Steve Crawford, later criticized State Police Commissioner Frank Pawlowski for “the state police’s decision to harbor apprehension about such a serious matter for more than nine months now without calling it to the attention of top officials in the administration who were in a position to address the situation.”

Pawlowski, French and Powers were all on the task force Rendell created to find an alternative to the intelligence-gathering contract.

Pa. Homeland Security Boss Resigns

Source: JTA

(JTA) -- Pennsylvania's homeland security director quit in the wake of revelations that he hired an Israeli-American agency that reported peaceful protests as potential terrorist threats.

Jim Powers resigned two weeks after Gov. Ed Rendell said that he was "deeply embarrassed" by revelations of a $125,000 contract with the Philadelphia-based Institute of Terrorism Research and Response.

Rendell announced the resignation at a news conference last Friday, although for weeks he had insisted that he wanted Powers to stay.

"Jim is a good man who made a very significant mistake in judgment," the governor said at the news conference.

Rendell terminated the contract with ITRR immediately upon learning of it.

The state's Office of Homeland Security contracted the institute to track threats, then relayed its reports to many law enforcement and private groups.

Its "alerts" included an animal rights protest, a natural gas drilling protest, a gay and lesbian festival, and a rally to support a Rendell-backed campaign for boosted education funding.

Powers subsequently apologized to the groups. State security officials who had been privy to the bulletins described them as amateurish.

The institute, which claims to have a Jerusalem office, is run by directors who among other claims list experience in Israel's security services. It also runs training programs in Israel.

Cop Pees In A Private Yard Then Pulls A Gun On Homeowner

Had you done this in a cops yard you would've been shot. Had these homeowners shot the cop who pulled the gun on them THEY would be going to prison. Keep telling yourself it's only 1 or 2 bad apples.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________
An on-duty Framingham police detective accused of pulling over to relieve himself in a private yard, then drawing his gun on the home’s resident, has been indicted on criminal charges, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office announced yesterday.

Detective Scott Brown, 38, of Mendon was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and making threats stemming from an April 29 incident taking place on private property in Framingham, said spokeswoman Cara O’Brien.

Prosecutors say Brown, who was on-duty but not in uniform and driving an unmarked vehicle, got out and began to urinate. A woman who lives at the unidentified address approached and asked what he and his partner were doing, O’Brien said.

After Brown allegedly told the woman to “stop looking” and returned to his cruiser, her husband - upon hearing the commotion - drove over in his golf cart and stopped next to Brown as he was pulling away, O’Brien said.

The two exchanged words, and Brown then got out and drew his firearm, pointed it at the victim, and said, “Move it or get shot,” prosecutors said.

The wife called 911. A video surveillance camera on the property captured the incident, O’Brien said. Messages left with Framingham police were not returned. Brown could not be reached for comment.

Tax Protesters Put On Terror Watch List

Wonder if this guy is on it? Glad to see your working hard to save us all DHS. Scumbags.

An activist who believes he was improperly included on a state terror threat list said this morning he is preparing a federal lawsuit.

"When people's civil rights are trampled it's a federal issue," said Gene Stilp of Harrisburg, who holds a Virginia law license but does not practice as an attorney.

Gov. Ed Rendell, speaking Downtown this morning, said he does not believe activists' Constitutional rights were violated.

The statement was a reversal from what he said yesterday. Asked in Harrisburg on Tuesday whether monitoring activists was "tantamount to trampling" on their Constitutional rights, he said: "I would say so."

Rendell said he is "deeply embarrassed" by the disclosure that state Homeland Security officials included information about protesters on what was supposed to be a list of possible terrorist threats.

"Being embarrassed doesn't cut it," Stilp said.

The list, which included information on public hearings that opponents of Marcellus gas drilling might attend, was sent to drilling companies.

Stilp said he believes he was among those monitored, based on Rendell's comment that a 25-foot inflatable "pink pig" Stilp takes to rallies was included in the monitoring.

"The pig! They were after the pig," Rendell said Tuesday. "That pig is what makes Harrisburg a very special place."

Stilp owns the pig and frequently displays it at the Capitol at protests over what he sees as government excesses.

Stilp said an outside investigation is warranted, by the attorney general or federal authorities.

The state paid a Philadelphia-based nonprofit $125,000 to compile the list as part of the state Homeland Security's federally mandated mission to protect public infrastructure.

The list included a Washington County meeting that Rendell attended to discuss Marcellus shale gas drilling, a screening of a documentary on the industry, a rally supporting Rendell's education budget and anti-tax protesters who took an inflatable pig to Harrisburg.

Homeland Security officials distributed the list in a security bulletin to government and law enforcement officials — including Pittsburgh City Council members — as well as universities and gas drilling companies.

City Councilman Doug Shields said he was "flabbergasted" about the bulletin he received by e-mail last week.

"The governor was outraged. I'm outraged. I'm glad this was put an end to, but we will be seeking answers. ... There will be requests of information from the state government for an explanation of who these people are, who made the decision to essentially engage in espionage and who is behind it."

Shields said he wants to see the financial statements of York-based Institute Of Terrorism Research And Response, a registered nonprofit, according to state records.

"Am I on a list somwehere? Am I on someone's dossier?" Shields said.

"If there's a list I hope we're all on it," said Councilwoman Theresa Smith.

Rendell said he "should have been notified" about the contract, but that it didn't warrant firing Homeland Security director James Powers. It was a "cumulative responsibility" and it would do no good to "make him a scapegoat," Rendell said.

The state will not renew its one-year contract with the Institute of Terrorism Research and Response when it expires in October, Rendell said.

The nonprofit, which has offices in Washington and Jerusalem, provides "actionable intelligence briefings" and "threat and hazard monitoring," among other services, according to its website.

"We maintain confidentiality with our clients, and we respect that confidentiality," said Mike Perelman, co-director of the institute.

The gas industry has to know of physical threats to its workers and equipment, but it supports people's right to discuss the issues, said Kathryn Klaber, president of the Marcellus Shale Coalition, an industry trade group in Cecil.

"Where we have to be vigilant, I believe, is ... if infrastructure is being targeted and the safety of employees and the communities we operate in are at risk," Klaber said.

Drilling industry opponents said they pose no danger. Barbara Pribila, 45, a founder of the anti-drilling Lincoln Place Action Group, said she never considered herself a rebel — and certainly not a threat to homeland security.

"I thought this was a free country and I was allowed to have my own opinion," Pribila said. "Now what, you're going to watch me and every move I make? That's not right."

US Soldiers 'Killed Afghan Civilians for Sport and Collected Fingers as Trophies'

Coming to a police department near you.

by Chris McGreal

Twelve American soldiers face charges over a secret "kill team" that allegedly blew up and shot Afghan civilians at random and collected their fingers as trophies.

Five of the soldiers are charged with murdering three Afghan men who were allegedly killed for sport in separate attacks this year. Seven others are accused of covering up the killings and assaulting a recruit who exposed the murders when he reported other abuses, including members of the unit smoking hashish stolen from civilians.

In one of the most serious accusations of war crimes to emerge from the Afghan conflict, the killings are alleged to have been carried out by members of a Stryker infantry brigade based in Kandahar province in southern Afghanistan.

According to investigators and legal documents, discussion of killing Afghan civilians began after the arrival of Staff Sergeant Calvin Gibbs at forward operating base Ramrod last November. Other soldiers told the army's criminal investigation command that Gibbs boasted of the things he got away with while serving in Iraq and said how easy it would be to "toss a grenade at someone and kill them".

One soldier said he believed Gibbs was "feeling out the platoon".

Investigators said Gibbs, 25, hatched a plan with another soldier, Jeremy Morlock, 22, and other members of the unit to form a "kill team". While on patrol over the following months they allegedly killed at least three Afghan civilians. According to the charge sheet, the first target was Gul Mudin, who was killed "by means of throwing a fragmentary grenade at him and shooting him with a rifle", when the patrol entered the village of La Mohammed Kalay in January.

Morlock and another soldier, Andrew Holmes, were on guard at the edge of a poppy field when Mudin emerged and stopped on the other side of a wall from the soldiers. Gibbs allegedly handed Morlock a grenade who armed it and dropped it over the wall next to the Afghan and dived for cover. Holmes, 19, then allegedly fired over the wall.

Later in the day, Morlock is alleged to have told Holmes that the killing was for fun and threatened him if he told anyone.

The second victim, Marach Agha, was shot and killed the following month. Gibbs is alleged to have shot him and placed a Kalashnikov next to the body to justify the killing. In May Mullah Adadhdad was killed after being shot and attacked with a grenade.

The Army Times reported that a least one of the soldiers collected the fingers of the victims as souvenirs and that some of them posed for photographs with the bodies.

Five soldiers – Gibbs, Morlock, Holmes, Michael Wagnon and Adam Winfield – are accused of murder and aggravated assault among other charges. All of the soldiers have denied the charges. They face the death penalty or life in prison if convicted.

The killings came to light in May after the army began investigating a brutal assault on a soldier who told superiors that members of his unit were smoking hashish. The Army Times reported that members of the unit regularly smoked the drug on duty and sometimes stole it from civilians.

The soldier, who was straight out of basic training and has not been named, said he witnessed the smoking of hashish and drinking of smuggled alcohol but initially did not report it out of loyalty to his comrades. But when he returned from an assignment at an army headquarters and discovered soldiers using the shipping container in which he was billeted to smoke hashish he reported it.

Two days later members of his platoon, including Gibbs and Morlock, accused him of "snitching", gave him a beating and told him to keep his mouth shut. The soldier reported the beating and threats to his officers and then told investigators what he knew of the "kill team".

Following the arrest of the original five accused in June, seven other soldiers were charged last month with attempting to cover up the killings and violent assault on the soldier who reported the smoking of hashish. The charges will be considered by a military grand jury later this month which will decide if there is enough evidence for a court martial. Army investigators say Morlock has admitted his involvement in the killings and given details about the role of others including Gibbs. But his lawyer, Michael Waddington, is seeking to have that confession suppressed because he says his client was interviewed while under the influence of prescription drugs taken for battlefield injuries and that he was also suffering from traumatic brain injury.

"Our position is that his statements were incoherent, and taken while he was under a cocktail of drugs that shouldn't have been mixed," Waddington told the Seattle Times.

US Army Burns Bibles In Iraq

So the US Government burns Bibles, media silent. One nutjob wants to burn a koran and you'd think the world stopped spinning on it's axis. Seems fair /s

On May 4, Al Jazeera English ran a report suggesting that U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan may have been violating anti-proselytizing rules by distributing Dari-and Pashto-language New Testament Bibles.

Central Command General Order No. 1 specifically forbids “proselytizing of any faith, religion or practice.” The footage came from documentary filmmaker Brian Hughes.

The report showed a service from approximately a year ago, with the head U.S. military chaplain in Afghanistan, Lt. Colonel Gary Hensley, talking about the need to spread the Gospel.

"The special forces guys -- they hunt men basically," Hensley said. "We do the same things as Christians, we hunt people for Jesus. We do, we hunt them down. Get the hound of heaven after them, so we get them into the kingdom. That's what we do, that's our business."

In another clip, Sgt. Jon Watt mentions during a Bible study class: "My church collected some money to get Bibles for Afghanistan. They came and sent the money out."

In a discussion about General Order No. 1, Watt says "you can't proselytize, but you can give gifts."

In the extended documentary footage Watt talks about how this worked in Iraq. "I bought a carpet and then I gave the guy a Bible after I conducted my business... The expressions that I got from the people in Iraq [were] just phenomenal, they were hungry for The Word."

The day of the Al Jazeera English broadcast, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Navy Adm. Mike Mullen was asked about the report.

"My reaction is twofold," Mullen said. "One is that I'm not aware of the details of this and certainly want to know more about it. Secondly, it certainly is -- from the United States military's perspective -- not our position to ever push any specific kind of religion. Period."

Pentagon officials immediately began assailing the story as "wrong." Pentagon officials said that Lt. Col. Hensley was not promoting the proselytizing of Afghans, and Watt was counseled not to distribute them.

Though a discussion about what to do with the Bibles was captured on video, Pentagon officials said the end result that the Bibles were not distributed but confiscated by the chaplain -- which is not shown in the footage.

"A documentary filmmaker was allowed onto Bagram last May to shoot footage of religious sessions involving troops," the Pentagon said. "He recorded a session where a participant displayed Bibles translated into Dari and Pashto that had been sent to him by his church back home. After a discussion of how or if they should be distributed, the chaplain running the service reaffirmed Gen. Order No. 1 and the Bibles were not distributed and were confiscated."

As to the Lt. Col. Hensley urging his congregation to hunt people for Jesus, the Pentagon official said the chaplain was speaking in general terms and not urging them to go out into Afghanistan to convert locals.

(That, of course, does not touch the issue of Sgt. Watt distributing Bibles in Iraq.)

On May 5, Army spokeswoman Major Jennifer Willis told Reuters that at Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan "the Bibles shown on Al Jazeera's clip were, in fact, collected by the chaplains and later destroyed. They were never distributed."

Today, Christian Broadcasting's David Brody says "the Bibles were burned because the rules on the base say that all garbage is burned at the end of the day. But just asking here; if the U.S. Military seized a stack full of Korans, would they be burned? You think that might cause a little outrage in the Muslim world?"

Brody also makes note of The Great Commission in the Book of Matthew where Jesus says "(G)o and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

17 Year Old Murdered By Police In His Own Home

Here is the picture of Michael filling backpacks for needy children.

MORGANTON --

A Morganton Public Safety officer shot and killed a 17-year-old male late Sunday night at Independence Park on Air Park Drive.
The N.C. State Bureau of Investigations is investigating the incident.
Morganton Department of Public Safety identified the teen as Michael Blake Sipes.
Public Safety Chief Mark Tolbert didn’t release the name of the two officers who responded to the scene because the shooting is still under investigation. Both officers have been put on paid administrative leave.
The officers were veterans of the department, Tolbert said.
Public Safety officials say the officers were responding to an unknown disturbance at the mobile home park.
The officers got the call at 11:40 p.m. Sunday night, said Tolbert. Another call went out at 11:45 p.m. of shots fired, he said.
Tolbert said the officer involved in the shooting is saying he knocked on the door and announced his presence. He wasn’t sure what was said when the officer announced.
Tolbert said there is no duty for an officer to announce his or her presence but said Public Safety officers do.
Michael's mother, Kimberly Sipes, said someone pounded on her door and she asked who was there. She said no one answered. She said Michael asked who was at the door three more times.
The last time, Michael, holding a gun, opened the door and didn't see anything, Kimberly Sipes said. That's when he was shot, she said.
Kimberly Sipes said Michael was shot four or five times. His abdomen took the brunt of the damage, she indicated.
According to WSOC TV Channel 9, The News Herald news partner, area resident Korey Forney said he never heard the officers identify themselves as police, but said he heard at least four gunshots.
They didn't identify themselves as police,” he said. “That's why he came outside. But he had (the gun) in a position where he wasn't going to fire.”
Tolbert said the gun Michael was holding was a .22-caliber rifle.
Tolbert said there is no in-car video from the shooting. How many shots were fired are part of the investigation, he said, but he confirmed that more than one shot was fired.
Tolbert said only one of the officers fired his weapon during the shooting. Following protocol, both officers, who are veterans of the department, have been put on paid administrative leave, he said.
Kimberly Sipes said the officer who did the shooting ran up a hill away from the area after the shooting.
Tolbert said he doesn’t know anything about an officer running away.
During the press conference on Monday, Tolbert said he believes the officer felt threatened. If the officer felt threatened, hence the muzzle of the teen’s gun was pointed in his direction, Tolbert said.
A neighbor, who did not want to be identified and was reluctant to talk about the incident, said the call to the mobile home park was a call about the noise coming from the mobile home where Michael lived.
Kimberly Sipes said there was a 6-year-old, a 3-year-old and a 4-month-old staying at her house. She said the two older kids were jumping around and making noise.
Tolbert said protocol for an officer is to look and listen to try to figure out what’s going on when he or she arrives at a scene. He said the call the officers were responding to Sunday night was an unknown disturbance and the person who called Public Safety said a “racket” was coming from the residence.
Kimberly Sipes questioned why officers didn’t TASER her son instead of shooting him.
Tolbert said officers have to make split-second decision. He indicated that using a TASER wasn’t an option during the incident.
As she was leaving her home on Monday, Kimberly Sipes said she’s looking for a wrongful-death attorney.
Michael’s stepmother, Angie Cook, said, “The city is being sued.”
Tolbert said it’s not the first time officers have responded to the home.
Tolbert said the SBI will turn over its findings of the investigation to the district attorney’s office.
Michael Sipes, who a neighbor called a good kid, was a student at Freedom High School.
According to WSOC TV Channel 9, Michael’s stepmother, Angie Cook, said. “He was a good kid. He didn't bother nobody. He tried to help everybody he could.”
His mother said he planned to join the Army next year.
Freedom High School Principal Ken Prichard said Michael was was in ROTC last year but wasn’t scheduled to take it in the current semester.
A school crisis team was called to come to Freedom on Monday in response to the news, Prichard said. While a school-wide announcement wasn’t made about Michael’s death, Prichard and counselors talked to classes he had and students who knew him, said school officials.
Burke County Public Schools Superintendent Art Stellar said the school system will keep the grief counselors at the school for as long as it takes.
Prichard said some of the school’s staff will go to Michael’s home when his mother is ready for them. Right now, he said, is not a good time.
Prichard said the school will likely make a broader announcement and hold a moment of silence in remembrance of Michael.

Some Interesting Insights Into Facebook

**For some of the backstory about my thoughts on facebook click here.

From day one I have been anti social networking, even before I found out Zuckerberg was a jew who stole the idea of facebook. If you think those are just claims then just listen to some of Zuckerbergs speeches, the specific one that comes to mind is the one he gave at Stanford which can be found on Itunes U. He is so vague about the creation of facebook, and doesn't really seem to have a good grasp on the site or the business. When you listen to speeches of other founders of various companies they are very detailed and meticulous since their very life is so tightly woven into a startup.

I had heard about his dismal performance Zuckerberg gave at the D8 conference this year, but only today did I see part of the video. For those that aren't familiar D8 is a conference where various tech figures are interviewed by a jew and a dyke, the draw of course is that they have very popular people on to interview so even though the jew is obnoxious and constantly interrupts and talks over people, people still want to watch just for the interviewee.

Watch in the video as Zuckerberg gives an incoherent answer when asked about privacy issues but also make note at the end where you see what is inside the facebooks company jackets.

Did you notice it? The so called Star of David? Here are a few pictures in case you missed it.

So as you can see facebook is clearly a very jew centric company. What other company has the star of david on their company clothes? I'll leave you with this video and you can begin to see the real purpose of facebook.
